I think it's the trend will see from now on, it just makes sense, the game will be a good seller on the 360. The original did 1.5 million, now with all the consoles they can prob do about 3million on the 360 and by adding the PS3 they can prob squeeze out another million sold.
It costs alot to make games these days and Capcom and other 3rd party dev's just want to make money and sell games.

You have to give MS credit, they at least try marketing their product. This may help a bit, also Star Ocean 4 coming out soon so could be some good weeks ahead for the 360 in Japan

Neither console is going away or doomed, there's a big enough base for both of them already to thrive on through game sales and downloaded content. They will both grow, both have up and down months and both have killer apps coming out for years to come
Its amazing to read Sony Fanboy comments on here, the article is correct in comparing last year to this year. It shows growth for the 360 and Wii, and a DECLINE for the PS3.
